Glengarry Inter-Agency Group is currently looking to fill the following positions:

Position summary:

The Employment Services Manager will require a strong understanding of the day-to-day decision making and team leadership pertaining to all aspects of the company’s Employment Services Program. This person will also need the ability to meet the goals and objectives of the Board of Directors of GIAG, Employment Ontario and the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities. The candidate must provide strong leadership and direction to staff under their supervision to oversee the deployment of corporate strategic plans with the site’s programs while maintaining the true integrity of the company’s vision and mission. Reporting to the Executive director, he or she will provide leadership in:

  • Oversee Program Supervisors as well as team members of the Employment Services Programs including recruitment, terminating, supervising and evaluating performance appraisals

  • Prepare budgets with Executive Director and Program Supervisors

  • Research potential new sources of funding for existing programs

  • Manage finances of GIAG’s Employment Services Programs by reviewing and approving any purchases, applications, leases, contracts, payroll

  • Ensure that all financial / statistical reports are submitted

  • Carrying out the strategic plan for Employment Services

  • Act as the liaison with Ministries, funders, key community groups.

  • Update and uphold the GIAG Policy and Procedures, Employment Services Program, Acts and regulations, Constitution and By-laws

  • Act as a member of the Co-management Team when the Emergency Succession Plan is invoked

Qualifications or Requirements

  • Post Secondary/University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Employment Services related field of study

  • 3-5 or more years of management experience in a non-profit and/or community support organization

  • Advanced Verbal and Written skills in both English and French

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills

  • Ability to influence and implement change in other business units; change management experience

  • Proven analytical/problem solving ability with exceptional attention to detail

  • Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement and take appropriate action

  • Previous experience with leading projects that drive impactful changes to the business

  • Proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Adaptive communication skills – understanding how to frame presentations and tone for different audiences, ranging from executives to end users

  • Confident and demonstrated strong leadership

  • The flexibility to regularly adapt to a fast-paced dynamic environment where change can happen quickly

  • Comfortable working in a virtual environment (i.e. conference calls, video conference)

  • Strong self-management skills to lead multi-disciplinary tasks and projects with autonomy

  • Maintain and manage a flexible schedule as required. Work under pressure and meet deadlines, displays high sense of urgency when appropriate

Monday-Friday (Before & After School Program) - Split Shifts

6:30AM-8/9AM OR 2-6PM (Straight shifts on PA Days, March Break, & Summer Camp)

Applicant must have: ECE Diploma, Standard First Aid/CPR Level C, Up to date immunizations, Current Vulnerable Police Record Check, Health Assessment, & Child Care Experience
